The culture days of the countries whose teams will play in Group В, with half of their matches to be held at Arena Lviv, will be organized in the fan zone of host city Lviv. This has been announced by the director of the Lviv City Council’s directorate for preparation of the championship, Oleh Zasadny, in an exclusive interview with the Information Centre Ukraine-2012. 

According to him, Lviv is constantly in touch with representatives of the national teams due to take part in the tournament. “Representatives of the Danish Football Federation were here recently, and fans from the Danish and German fan community visited us. On the one hand, we try to show them the city and facilities for accommodation and organization of camping grounds for fans and to tell them about the cultural programme. On the other hand, we wish to learn about the additional needs of fans. We want as many fans as possible to come to Lviv,” the directorate chief noted.

He has added that a large-scale show programme will be organized at the fan zone during the tournament, including the participation of foreign artists. “We have proposed Denmark and Germany to organize culture days in the fan zone itself. The Danish Football Federation has already responded: it plans to present a famous Danish group on the eve of the match in order to present Danish culture to residents of Lviv, along with carrying along their fans and winding their fans up for supporting the national team,” Oleh Zasadny said.
