Vice Prime Minister checked readiness of new Lviv airport terminal

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov is familiarising himself with the preparations at Lviv International Airport for EURO 2012. A plane with the Vice Prime Minister on board landed in Lviv at about 15:20. The official was met by the head of Lviv Regional State Administration Mykhaylo Kostyuk, Head of Lviv Regional Council Oleh Pankevych, City Mayor Andriy Sadovy, General Director of the Lviv International Airport State Enterprise Roman Hontaryev and General Director of The State Enterprise “Directorate of Building EURO 2012 Facilities in Lviv” Volodymyr Shadrin. 

The Vice Prime Minister and senior Lviv officials began their inspection of the airport’s preparations for the championship with a tour of the new airport terminal of the Lviv International Airport. They acquainted themselves with the readiness of customs and border control areas, as well as with aviation safety areas. Finally, the guests checked out of the hall for passenger registration, where 29 registration counters (9 for domestic flights and 20 – for international) are located. 

A reminder that the readiness of the new Lviv airport terminal stands at over 90%. Tests are currently being run there before the launch of the facility.
