Preparations for EURO 2012 promote an increase in interest to the two host countries of the Championship – Ukraine and Poland – from foreign tourists. This was emphasized during a meeting of Ukrainian-Polish working group on cooperation in the field of image, advertising, tourism and recreation, which previously took place in Warsaw.

Particular attention during the meeting was focused on the image component of preparations for the Championship.As head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Tourism and Resorts Olena Shapovalova noted, joint preparation for EURO 2012 finals has given impetus to Ukrainian-Polish relations in the field of tourism. They will deepen after the end of the continental championship, which will create favourable conditions for the development of travel business.

Speaking of the image side of preparation for the Championship, representatives of travel agencies of Ukraine and Poland stressed the information component of cooperation between the host countries. As part of this there is a constant exchange of information on the current state of preparations for the Championship between the Information Centre Ukraine-2012 and the Polish government union PL.2012.
